Charles Babbage

impressions of the kingCharles Babbage (born 26 December 1791 - died 18 October 1871 at the age of 79 years) was a mathematician from England who first revealed the idea of a computer that can be programmed. Some of the engine development - but not finished - can now be seen in the London Science Museum. In 1991, using Babbage's original plans, a machine developed differential and this machine works perfectly, proving that Babbage's ideas about this machine that can be implemented.
Charles Babbage was born in the UK, most likely on the road no 44 Crosby Row, Walworth Road, London. There are several opinions about the date of birth Babbage. Obituaries published daily in The Times on the birth date of 26 December 1792. But a few days later a nephew Babbage wrote that Babbage actually was born a year earlier, in 1791.
At that time, the calculation by using mathematical tables often have errors. Babbage wanted to develop a way to do the mechanical calculation, which can reduce the calculation error is often done by men. At that time, Babbage get inspiration from the development of the computation is done by Wilhelm Schickard, Blaise Pascal, and Gottfried Leibniz. Initial ideas about Babbage engine is written in the form of a letter written to Sir Humphrey Davy in 1822.
